BRYANT BOATS 2019 MODEL LIMITED WARRANTY

Thank you for choosing to purchase a Bryant Boat. All Bryant Boats are NMMA certified. Each model Bryant designs and builds is inspected for compliance by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). The NMMA’s standards exceed basic U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Bryant Boats offers the best warranty in the business and we are committed to your satisfaction with your new boat. Bryant Boats will provide for repairs to your boat under the following terms, conditions, and limitations.

5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY / LIFETIME STRUCTURAL

Bryant Boats warrants to the original retail owner of a Bryant boat purchased from an authorized Bryant Boat Dealer that the product will be free from substantial defects in material or workmanship for a period of five years from the original date of purchase. Additionally, Bryant offers a lifetime structural warranty on the hull and deck (see additional details below). This warranty does not apply to any boats used for racing, rental, or commercial (revenue-producing) purposes. For purposes of this warranty, the “date of purchase” shall refer to the date the original retail owner signed the purchase order with the authorized Bryant dealer. For this warranty to be effective, the warranty registration card must be completed and submitted to Bryant Boats within 10 days of the date of purchase. Warranty repairs shall not be paid on boats that have not been registered. All warranty repairs are subject to prior approval by, and are granted at the sole discretion of, Bryant Boats. Warranty repairs are subject to Bryant Boat’s flat rate codes and authority to define acceptable repair times for other repairs.

 

Lifetime Limited Structural

Bryant Boats warrants that its boat will be free of hull or deck defects in material or workmanship. For purposes of this warranty, the term “structurally defective” means the presence of a defect that causes the hull or deck to be unsafe or unfit for use under normal operating conditions. At its sole discretion, Bryant will repair the boat’s hull or deck if it is found to be structurally defective in material or workmanship. For purposes of this warranty, hull and deck includes fiberglass floors, fiberglass stringers, fiberglass bulkheads, motor mounts, composite transom, and all hull and deck joints.

 

Limited Gel Coat Warranty

For purposes of this warranty, “gel coat” refers to the exterior coating on all fiberglass parts. Gel coat is a surface coating and defects in gel coat are cosmetic – not structural. Because the gel coat finish is applied manually by Bryant Boats craftsmen, manufacturing variations or cosmetic imperfections are inherent in the gel coat finish, but these imperfections are normal and have no effect on the use, safety, or value of your boat. The gel coat warranty is limited to 2 years from the original date of purchase and covers only the following defects:

  1. Hull blisters below the waterline resulting from a defect in material or workmanship. The limited gel coat warranty will apply only if the original factory gel coat surface has not been altered by previous repairs or for the application of bottom paint. This warranty shall not exceed $125.00 per linear foot of hull surface for the area requiring repair.

  2. Gel coat cracking (also known as crazing) resulting from stress inherent in the design or construction. 3) Laminate air voids resulting in cracks or chips to the gel coat.

The limited gel coat warranty is conditioned on the owner having provided proper maintenance and care for the gel coat as described in the Bryant Boats Owner’s Manual. To determine whether the limited gel coat warranty applies, Bryant may review photos of the defects. Bryant reserves the right to define the time required, methods used, and reimbursement costs to repair the gel coat defect(s). At Bryant’s sole discretion, Bryant may elect to send a qualified gel coat repair technician to the dealer, or return the boat from the dealer to the factory for repair. This 2-Year limited gel coat warranty is not transferable.

Defects in interior gel are not covered under the Limited Gel Coat Warranty. For purposes of this warranty, “interior gel” is defined as the surface coating applied by paint brush to the inside of the hull, underside of the deck, and certain floor boards that are visible in storage compartments under the deck.

 

Limited Upholstery Warranty

Bryant warrants its upholstery from defects in materials and workmanship for a period not to exceed 5 years from the original date of purchase. For purposes of this warranty, “upholstery” is defined as interior parts, such as seat cushions, backrests, dash brows, and panels that are covered with vinyl. This warranty covers failure in the construction and fabrication of upholstery, which includes a break or crack of seat foundation, separations of seams, and material separation. This warranty does not cover failure or defect resulting from normal wear and tear, climactic conditions, use under non-normal conditions, or the lack of proper maintenance.about

 

Limited Component & Systems Warranty

Bryant warrants all components from defects in installation and function for a period not to exceed 5 years from the original date of purchase. For purposes of this warranty, “component” is defined any part, system, or assembly that is purchased by Bryant Boats and installed on or assembled to the boat’s fiberglass structure, upholstery, or another supplier’s part, system, or assembly. Any components, systems, and parts that are covered by its own manufacturer’s warranty shall be covered under the warranty according to the terms, conditions, and limitations established by the manufacturer. The manufacturer’s warranty will be covered at the discretion of the component manufacturer or distributor, and may be paid or remedied directly with the authorized Bryant Boats dealer for the term of the manufacturer’s component warranty. Where required by the component manufacturer, the boat owner is responsible for filing the appropriate warranty registration to initiate coverage under the component manufacturer’s warranty. If the component manufacturer’s warranty expires sooner than 5 years from the original date of purchase, Bryant Boats will provide warranty coverage for the remainder of the 5-year term, subject to all other terms, conditions, and limitations provided by the component manufacturer’s warranty. All repairs made under Bryant’s Limited Component Warranty shall be paid according to the component manufacturer’s established flat rate codes, allowances, or reimbursement rates.

 

ENGINE & TRAILER WARRANTIES
The engine and trailer are not covered under any Bryant Boats Limited Warranty. Your Bryant Boat comes with separate limited warranties provided by the engine and trailer manufacturers. Please see your engine and trailer manufacturer’s warranties inside your boat owner’s package for details of each manufacturer’s terms, conditions, and limitations.

What is Not Covered by Bryant Boats Limited Warranty

The Limited Warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damages or defects due to abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, or improper operation are not covered. This includes but is not limited to staining, cuts, tears, nicks, scratches, and scuffs.

  • Damages due to insufficient or improper maintenance.

  • Components or systems added to the boat after the boat’s original shipment date from Bryant’s factory.

  • Any gel coat cracking or crazing beyond 2 years from the original date of purchase.

  • Any non-structural claims reported beyond 5 years from the original date of purchase

  • Any Bryant boat product sold or transferred as part of an “AS IS” transaction without warranties.

  • Damage resulting from running aground or “beaching” the boat.

  • Damage resulting from sinking or submerging the boat.

  • Repairs made necessary by normal wear and tear.

  • Repairs made necessary by the use of parts and accessories that, in the reasonable judgment of Bryant Boats, are either incompatible with the Bryant boat or adversely affect its operation, performance, or durability.

  • Ineffective or repeat repairs caused by misdiagnosis or improper repair procedure.

  • The excessive time necessary to gain service access to the component or systems or to remove or reinstall the component or systems from the boat.

  • Damages caused by heat, fire, explosion, or freezing – including the failure to perform proper winterization.

  • Corrosion, oxidation, or electrolysis including chrome-plated, anodized or aluminum finish. (Because exposure to a salt or brackish water environment can cause corrosion and other damage, failure to rinse the boat thoroughly after each use and apply a protective coating will void the warranty.)

  • Damages caused by after-market cleaning products or non-Bryant Boats approved cleaners

  • Damages caused by any trailer.

  • Damages caused by improper support of the hull on a dolly, cradle, hoist, or boat lift of any kind.

  • Travel to or from the product by the servicing dealer or transportation of the product to and from the servicing dealer; charges for towing, haul-out, launch, storage, docking, slip fees, fuel or lubricant usage, premium (air or overnight) freight charges; rental costs of any type; and incidental or consequential expenses including loss of income and inconvenience.

  • Boats purchased from an insurance company, bank or financial institution, auctioning business, or salvage yard.

  • Any boat that has been repossessed or acquired through an insurance claim.

  • Costs of maintenance.

The Limited Component & Systems Warranty shall be considered void on any component or system that has been changed or altered from its original manufacture.

Bryant Boats is not responsible for miscellaneous charges (i.e. travel, loading/unloading, haul-out, etc.) that a dealer may incur during the warranty repair process, unless such expenses meet the criteria set forth in this 5- year Limited Warranty.

DEALER’S RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. The dealer must provide the buyer with an adequate orientation in the general operation of the boat and review all systems and accessories included with the boat.

  2. The dealer must deliver a complete owner’s manual packet/bag with the boat consisting of Owner’s Manual, Engine Manual, Stereo Manual, and all warranties for separately warranted items aboard the boat.

  3. The dealer must review all warranty information with the buyer and assist in filling out warranty cards if necessary.

  4. The dealer must ensure that any information or obligation from either Bryant Boats or from the dealership is clearly understood by the buyer.

  5. The dealer must instruct the buyer in obtaining local service and out-of-area service for a Bryant Boat.

 

OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Before operating your new Bryant, it is necessary to read and fully understand the Owner’s Manual and all other information delivered with the boat.

  2. The owner is responsible for performing required maintenance listed in the Owner’s Manual. Bryant Boats recommends that all service and maintenance work be performed by an authorized Bryant Boats dealer.

  3. It is the owner’s responsibility to take the boat to an authorized Bryant Boats dealer to obtain warranty service as soon as a problem exists, and use all reasonable means to protect the boat from further damage.

  4. The owner must properly operate and maintain the boat in accordance with the Owner’s Manual and all other information delivered with it.

  5. The owner is responsible for keeping maintenance records should it be necessary to show that required maintenance has been performed on the boat. This record of proper maintenance may be required to determine warranty coverage on certain repairs and should be transferred to each subsequent owner. Bryant Boats may deny warranty coverage to the boat if a part has failed due to improper maintenance.

PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION

The owner is encouraged to inspect his/her boat for cosmetic and aesthetic defects at the time of delivery. If defects or damage are found, the buyer should notify the selling dealer at the time of delivery in order to have the issues covered by this limited warranty, and to have the repair work performed at no cost.

All warranty repairs are subject to Bryant Boats prior approval. Some warranty repairs may require the boat to be returned to Bryant Boats factory. Warranty repairs are made at the sole discretion of Bryant Boats and are based upon Bryant’s review of the warrantable issue. Bryant Boats may, at its discretion, install parts or use materials that have similar performance characteristics if an identical replacement part is not available. Warranty repairs do not extend the warranty term, and the repairs will be warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period applicable.

ENGINEERING & DESIGN CHANGES

In an effort to continuously improve, Bryant Boats is constantly evaluating and implementing engineering and process changes. Bryant Boats reserves the right to make changes to its boats at any time without assuming any obligation to make the same changes on any boats built prior to the change.

 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

Outside the U.S. and Canada, there may be additional charges based on local practices and conditions. These charges may include, but are not limited to: freight, insurance, taxes, import duties, and/or other financial charges, including those levied by local governments and their respective agencies. These charges are not covered by the Limited Warranty and are the responsibility of the retail purchaser.

There Are No Other Warranties Either Express or Implied Provided by Bryant on This Boat. Bryant Disclaims Any Liability for Economic Loss Arising from Claims of Product Failure, Negligence, Defective Design, Manufacturing Defect, Failure to Warn And/Or Instruct, Lack of Sea Worthiness and Any Other Theory Not Expressly Covered under the Terms of This Limited Warranty.

To the Extent Allowed by Law Neither Bryant nor the Selling Dealer Shall Have Any Responsibility for Loss of Use of the Boat, Loss of Time, Inconvenience, Commercial Loss or Consequential Damages.

Bryant Boats Inc. Accepts No Responsibility for Any Representations, Acts, or Omissions Made by the Dealer to the Buyer During the Presentation, Sale, or Delivery of a Bryant Boat. Performance of Repairs and Necessary Adjustments Is the Exclusive Remedy under This Written Warranty. Bryant Boats Shall Not Be Liable for Incidental or Consequential Damages, Such as, but Not Limited to, Lost Revenues, Lost Wages, Storage Fees, Boat Slip Fees, Transportation to or from Repair, or Rental Expenses Resulting from Warranty.

TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY

Bryant Boats has a limited transferable warranty. If a boat was purchased from an authorized Bryant Boat dealer, Bryant Boats may warrant to the boat’s second retail owner:

  • The hull and deck are free from structural defects in materials and workmanship, under normal care and use, for a period of 10 years from the original date of purchase.

The boat’s electrical and mechanical systems and components for the remainder of the original 5year warranty period from the date of the original retail purchase. The Limited Gel Coat Warranty and the Limited Upholstery Warranty are not transferrable. The warranty transfer shall not expand the warranty coverage, extend the warranty duration, or create any new rights under the Bryant Boats Limited Warranty beyond that which was available to the boat’s original owner

To transfer the available warranty from the original retail owner to the second retail owner, these steps must be followed:

  • A Warranty Transfer Form must be submitted prior to transfer of title to the boat from original retail owner to second retail owner by a Bryant Boats authorized dealer.

  • The seller (1st retail owner) or buyer (2nd retail owner) must arrange for an authorized Bryant boat dealer to inspect the boat, at the buyer’s or the seller’s expense.

  • The authorized Bryant boat dealer must submit a Warranty Transfer Evaluation Checklist and requested photos.

  • A normal warranty transfer fee and a dealer inspection are required.

  • Approval or denial of warranty transfer shall be completed by Bryant Boats within 2 weeks of receipt of all information.

  • Approval or denial of warranty transfer is at the sole discretion of Bryant Boats.

  • Boats that are damaged or have been abused may not be eligible for the warranty transfer.

  • The cost of the warranty transfer shall be based on the remainder of the warranty term, and shall be priced accordingly at the time of transfer.

  • The transferred warranty shall be effective upon receipt of payment.

The engine manufacturers offer a transferrable warranty on engine, outdrive, and powertrain components.

Instructions for Obtaining Warranty Services

To receive warranty services on your Bryant Boat, you must take the following steps:

  1. Notify an authorized Bryant Boats dealer of the substantial defect in materials or workmanship attributable to Bryant Boats immediately upon discovery of the defect;

  2. Send photos or written documentation to your authorized Bryant Boat dealer so he/she can obtain pre-authorization from Bryant Boats Warranty Department to perform the warranty repairs;

  3. Schedule an appointment promptly to have your Bryant Boat inspected and approved for warranty repairs by an authorized Bryant Boat dealer;

  4. Deliver your boat to the authorized servicing dealer and review the warrantable issues with a service manager or service technician responsible for the repairs;

  5. Pick-up your boat and review the warranty repairs to ensure they have been completed to your satisfaction.

  6. Resume use and enjoyment of your Bryant Boat.

All discussions and correspondences pertaining to a potential warranty service claim need to be submitted with the following information: hull ID number, date of purchase, dealer and customer information, description of damage or defect, pictures of the damaged or defective area, and any other pertinent information involving the claim.

Bryant Boats reserves the right to request proof of ownership as supported by bill of sale from the dealer, title, or any other such documents needed to ensure ownership of the boat.

Please note, Bryant Boats authorized dealers & repair facilities are independently owned and operated. Bryant Boats does not control the scheduling of service work.
