Lake Mead – NV

Just outside of the world-famous gaming mecca of Las Vegas, and stretching up toward Mesquite on the eastern NV border -- Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the United States, measured by water capacity. The reservoir serves water to the states of Arizona, California, and Nevada, providing sustenance to nearly 20 million people and large areas of farmland. Created by the one of the great modern wonders of the world -- Hoover Dam -- and over 100 miles long, Lake Mead offers three great marinas to launch from, at Calville Bay Resort and Marina, Lake Mead Marina, or the Temple Bar Marina in the majestic eastern stretch of the lake.
